Three individuals, identified as suspected kidnappers, died on Sunday evening following a severe collision in Bareilly. Their SUV, reportedly traveling at 150 kmph, struck a parked tanker, resulting in the immediate fatalities of the three accused. The occupants of the SUV included the driver and two abducted boys, aged six and three, who sustained injuries and are currently hospitalized.
Authorities confirmed the rescue of the boys' father from a village in Bareilly. A recovered phone video indicated the kidnapping of the minors and their father. Preliminary investigations suggest a personal motive, possibly related to an unwanted marriage, although this is not yet conclusive. The accused had prior criminal records, including charges of dacoity and robbery.
Tragically, two motorcycle riders also lost their lives after colliding with the mangled SUV. Locals reported the tanker had been abandoned on the roadside since a previous accident a day prior. The case involving the kidnapping will be transferred to Haryana Police, while the accident investigation remains with Bareilly police.
