A woman employed at the Mahila Shakti Kendra in Barabanki has sought police intervention due to alleged stalking and threats. The complainant, who works within the district collectorate premises, stated that a man from Hardoi began harassing her on September 24. He reportedly followed her home from work and pressured her into a relationship, issuing death threats when she refused.
The harassment escalated the following day when the accused allegedly appeared at her workplace. He is accused of verbal abuse and making obscene gestures, further intensifying her fear for her safety. Alerted by colleagues, authorities were notified, and while the accused fled before police arrived, an FIR has been registered. Law enforcement teams are now actively working to locate and apprehend the individual.
