Tragedy struck in Ballia district when 25-year-old Rahul Yadav was fatally shot on Saturday evening. The incident occurred near the Vanshi Palace area under the Ubhaon police station, reportedly stemming from an old rivalry. Yadav was standing outside his home when three assailants on a motorcycle approached him.
Following a heated exchange, the assailants shot Yadav in the chest before fleeing the scene. He was rushed to a local hospital, but his critical condition necessitated further referrals to Mau and then Varanasi. Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
Based on a complaint filed by the victim's father, Bachcha Yadav, the Ubhaon police have registered a first information report against four named suspects: Robin Singh, Pawan Kumar, Rohit Kumar, and Raj. A manhunt has been initiated to apprehend the accused individuals.
