Victim's Family Furious Over Bali Trial Delay
2 Mar
Summary
- Sentencing for two Australians accused of murder delayed again.
- Victims' families incurred significant travel costs for the hearing.
- The trial is for a June 2025 alleged murder and assault case.

Sentencing for Mevlut Coskun and Paea I Middlemore Tupou, accused in the June 2025 murder of Zivan Radmanovic and assault of Sanar Ghanim, has been postponed by a Balinese court. The delay was announced on Monday, March 2, 2026, frustrating the victims' families who had traveled to attend the hearing. Presiding judge Wayan Suarta cited the need for further discussion among judges as the reason for the adjournment.
The family members, including Radmanovic's widow Jazmyn Gourdeas and Ghanim's partner Daniela Guordeas, expressed anger and disappointment over the last-minute postponement. They highlighted the significant financial strain of traveling to Bali for the proceedings and the distress caused by the unexpected delay, questioning the court's consideration for their circumstances.
Coskun and Tupou claim they were hired by an Australian man to collect a debt. Prosecutors allege they used a sledgehammer to break into a villa and attacked the victims. Darcy Francesco Jenson faces a separate trial for organizing the trip's logistics. The sentencing is now scheduled to resume on March 9, 2026.
