Bahamas Boat Mystery: Husband Arrested

A Michigan woman, 55-year-old Lynette Hooker, has been missing since the evening of April 4, 2026, after a boat excursion in the Bahamas. Her husband, Brian Hooker, 59, reported that she fell overboard near the Abaco Islands and was swept away by currents. Bahamian authorities arrested Brian for additional questioning days later, citing probable cause. Lynette's daughter, Karli Aylesworth, has publicly expressed doubts about her stepfather's account, seeking the truth about her mother's disappearance.

Brian Hooker initially told police that Lynette fell overboard while they were traveling by dinghy, causing the boat keys to be lost and the engine to shut off. He stated he paddled ashore and reported her missing the following morning, April 5, 2026. Search efforts were launched, involving Bahamian police and rescue teams.
