The court is examining the circumstances surrounding the catastrophic injuries that led to the death of baby Jensen-Lee. Evidence presented includes a 999 call where a neighbor reported Jensen-Lee was not breathing, and CCTV footage showing the limp infant being carried out of a house. Medical examinations revealed extensive brain swelling, injury, and bleeding, as well as evidence of rib fractures.
Neurosurgeons described Jensen-Lee's brain injury as devastating, deeming any surgical intervention futile. Safeguarding procedures were initiated due to the severity of the injuries. The infant was transported to University Hospital Wales in Cardiff, where he suffered a cardiac arrest. Tragically, life support was withdrawn later that evening.
