Buckeye, Arizona police officer Carri Carrico was charged in May 2026 with aggravated assault following two use-of-force incidents. One incident involved a nine-month-pregnant woman arrested on November 1, 2025, for alleged reckless driving.
According to a probable cause statement, Carrico allegedly punched the woman in the face while attempting to restrain her. Footage also reportedly shows the officer shoving the woman against a wall and into a corner before striking her head. The woman sustained a contusion and reported scratches and bruises.
Carrico reportedly told investigators she "reverted" to her training. Her supervisor noted her behavior was "very aggressive." The officer has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
