A man identified as Gabriel Daniels is facing serious charges following a violent incident in Eaton. Daniels was indicted by a grand jury on one count of attempted murder, two counts of felonious assault, and one count of resisting arrest. The alleged stabbing occurred on January 9th.
The confrontation reportedly began when visitors commented that Daniels' apartment needed cleaning. Without warning, Daniels grabbed a bayonet-style knife and attacked one of the individuals, stabbing them three times. The other person present managed to get him to drop the weapon.
When Eaton officers arrived, they found Daniels in the kitchen. He resisted their attempts to place him under arrest, leading to a struggle. Medical aid was provided to the stabbing victim. Daniels is currently detained in Preble County Jail, awaiting a court appearance.
