FBI Nabs Atlanta's Costume-Clad Robber

Federal agents have arrested a suspect accused of carrying out at least 11 armed robberies across metro Atlanta. Tracy Mingo, 32, was apprehended on January 2 while allegedly preparing to target another business. His crime spree began in October and continued through the end of last year, impacting businesses in Cobb, Gwinnett, Fulton, and DeKalb counties.

Mingo reportedly used various occupational disguises, such as a security guard or delivery driver, to conceal his identity and approach unsuspecting clerks. Investigators noted a pattern of targeting locations with female employees during late-night closing hours, a tactic believed to reduce potential resistance and witnesses. He typically stole between $2,000 and $3,000 per robbery.

Mingo is now in custody at the Fulton County Jail, facing charges including armed robbery, kidnapping, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The FBI suspects there may be additional victims and encourages other law enforcement agencies to report unsolved cases that might be linked to this spree.
