Investigators learned that the two victims, believed to be juveniles, were allegedly attempting to steal a package from a home's porch when the homeowner confronted them and opened fire. One teenager was shot in the right foot and is in stable condition, while the other sustained a gunshot wound to the right arm and is in critical condition.
The homeowner, who reportedly is cooperating with the investigation, is under scrutiny as police and prosecutors work to determine if any charges will be filed. The incident occurred in a community that experienced another shooting in October, leaving one dead and another injured.
