Nashik authorities have registered an additional FIR against astrologer Ashok Kharat at the Sarkarwada police station, bringing the total cases there to 12. Further complaints were also filed in Sinnar, Ahilyanagar, and Shirdi. The latest accusation comes from a bank loan consultant who claims Kharat extorted ₹8.8 crore since 2023.
Kharat allegedly used fear tactics, suggesting dire consequences for the consultant's parents unless rituals were performed. The consultant became suspicious after investigating Kharat's activities, including alleged inappropriate behavior and alcohol consumption at his farmhouse. Evidence reportedly includes testimony from a disguised cook.
