Arsonist's Rampage Leaves Family Scarred, Homes Destroyed

On September 7, 2022, a devastating arson attack occurred in Tuebrook, Liverpool, leaving a trail of destruction and trauma in its wake. The incident began when Carl Dawe, who was intoxicated and enraged, set fire to a caravan parked outside a property in the early hours of the morning.

The blaze quickly spread, engulfing three houses and a vehicle. The most significant victim was Jacqueline Spencer, a woman Dawe was having an affair with. She sustained first and second-degree burns to her face, neck, and hand, which may leave her permanently scarred. Dawe's actions also put Spencer's 14-year-old son and her pets in serious danger.
