Mom and Son Escape Terrifying Arson Attack

A mother and her 10-year-old son are living in fear after surviving a deliberate arson attack on their home in Littleborough, Rochdale. The incident, which occurred early on September 6, saw a car set alight on the driveway, with flames quickly spreading to the front of the property.

The mother recounted the terrifying experience, stating she is haunted by the ordeal and struggles with sleep due to anxiety. She expressed feeling vulnerable, knowing her attackers but remaining unaware of their identities. The alarm from the burning car twice alerted her to the danger, preventing a potentially worse outcome.

Greater Manchester Police have arrested a 42-year-old man on suspicion of stalking and conspiracy to commit arson. He has since been released on bail as investigations continue. Authorities have released CCTV and police car footage of the attack and are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying those responsible for the "sinister and reckless" act.
