A single mother from Bootle, Liverpool, has shared her devastation after witnessing CCTV footage of an arson attacker setting fire to her home. Holly Cham, 33, was on holiday with her two children when the incident occurred on August 24th. The footage revealed a man exiting her garage shortly before flames began to engulf the property.
Her boyfriend, who was house-sitting at the time, narrowly escaped harm. He was woken by a stranger at the front door and discovered smoke billowing from the bathroom. The fire caused significant damage, including a destroyed garage roof, broken windows, and smoke damage throughout the house.
Beyond the immediate structural damage, which is estimated to cost thousands, Holly's home-based business has been obliterated. Her stock and equipment were destroyed, leaving her without her sole source of income and facing the daunting task of rebuilding from scratch.
The family, including Holly's six-year-old and 11-year-old son Ethan, have temporarily moved in with her parents. The disruption has been particularly difficult for Ethan, who has autism, impacting his routine and sense of security. The community is reportedly in a state of fear, with neighbours organizing watch duties.
