An 18-year-old Intermediate student was kidnapped and murdered in Arrah, Bihar, following a dispute on Instagram. Sunny Kumar Singh left his home on KG Road to attend a mathematics coaching class. During his commute, he made distressing calls to his cousin and sibling, reporting he was being forcibly taken towards Garhani by unknown individuals.
His mobile phone was subsequently switched off. Alarmed by the calls, his family filed a missing persons report. Police investigation, aided by CCTV footage, led to the detention of a suspect and revealed the murder was premeditated due to a social media disagreement involving a girl. Three individuals have been taken into custody for further interrogation, and the body has been sent for a post-mortem examination.
