12 Feb
Summary

- The pre-print copy was allegedly distributed internationally.
- Police are questioning publishers about the book's ISBN and release.

Delhi Police are investigating the alleged leak of a pre-print copy of former Army Chief Gen MM Naravane's unpublished memoir, 'Four Stars of Destiny.' Initial findings suggest the leak was not accidental but a calculated effort to circumvent clearance from the Ministry of Defence.
The special cell has expanded the probe, adding charges of criminal conspiracy to the FIR. This follows reports that the pre-print was distributed in countries including the US, Canada, the UK, and Australia, with early uploads linked to .io domain extensions of the British Indian Ocean Territory.
Authorities are scrutinizing the International Standard Book Number (ISBN) found on the leaked copies. Notices have been issued to the publisher, Penguin Random House India, requesting information on why their statement was delayed and why they did not report the leak sooner to the police.
