Authorities have apprehended Randal Basilio Santillan, 27, in connection with the murder of 18-year-old Yessenia 'Sisi' Norman. Norman was discovered deceased in an apartment in Tolleson, Arizona, on January 28, having sustained approximately 30 stab wounds. Santillan was arrested on Friday, February 6, in Biloxi, Mississippi, a location over 1,500 miles from the crime scene.
Investigators believe Santillan met Norman through an online dating application just four days before her death. He reportedly fled Arizona for Mississippi following the murder, though his specific ties to Biloxi remain unclear. Santillan is currently in custody awaiting extradition to Arizona, facing charges of first-degree murder and kidnapping.
A GoFundMe campaign has been initiated by Norman's mother to assist with funeral expenses. The campaign describes Norman as a beautiful, bright young woman with a promising future, who had recently enrolled in community college. The investigation involved multiple law enforcement agencies from both Arizona and Mississippi, including the FBI.
