Summary
- Son and two friends arrested for father's murder.
- Dispute over Rs 2 lakh led to the fatal argument.
- Father was shot while sleeping at the orchard.
A shocking incident unfolded in Gajasthal village, Amroha district, where a 20-year-old son, Ayan, was arrested along with his two friends, Deepanshu Kumar and Deepak Kumar, both 18. They are accused of murdering Ayan's father, Rais Ahmed, a 48-year-old tent businessman.
The motive behind the heinous crime reportedly stemmed from a dispute concerning Rs 2 lakh. Ahmed had entrusted this sum to his wife for safekeeping, but family members objected to its retrieval, fearing it would be squandered due to his alcoholism. This led to frequent arguments.
On Tuesday, around 3 am, the trio allegedly went to the mango orchard where Ahmed was staying. Deepak Kumar is said to have procured a country-made pistol, with which they shot Ahmed in the head while he slept. His wife discovered him critically injured the next morning and he was declared dead at a hospital.
Ayan's absence from his father's funeral raised suspicions, leading to his confession and the subsequent arrest of all three accused.
