Louisiana State Police activated an AMBER Alert for a 3-month-old infant, A'laya Jackson, who was allegedly abducted from a residence. The incident occurred on Bayou Run Drive in New Roads, with the abduction taking place around 3:18 p.m. The alert was requested by the Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff's Office.
The suspect, identified as Carnasia Mims, is believed to have taken Jackson from the home. Mims is reportedly traveling in a 2012 blue Toyota Yaris, which has the Louisiana license plate 533HZE. Authorities are actively searching for both Mims and the infant.
Jackson is described as a black female with brown eyes and black hair. Mims is approximately 5'4'' with a weight of around 137 pounds, also possessing black hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff's Office or dial 911.
