An Amber Alert was activated late Friday for a 6-year-old girl who was abducted out of Alameda County. Deleyah Mendoza, the missing child, and her alleged abductor, 24-year-old Donovan Blair, were last spotted on Baine Avenue and Cherry Street in Newark around 11:35 p.m.
Deleyah is described as 4 feet tall with black hair and brown eyes, last seen in white and pink striped pajamas, a cheetah-print backpack, and pink flip-flops. Donovan Blair is 5 feet 10 inches, weighs 190 pounds, with brown hair and eyes. The suspect is believed to be driving a gray 2009-2011 Honda Insight. Police have not disclosed the relationship between the girl and the suspect or the circumstances of the abduction. Anyone with information is urged to call 911.
