Alleged Molester Arrested After Chasing 18-Year-Old Girl to Library

In a concerning incident that occurred just last night in Lakhimpur Kheri district, a 22-year-old man was arrested for allegedly molesting an 18-year-old girl. According to the police, the incident took place as the young woman was on her way to a local library.

The accused, identified as Mohammad Shahdab alias Aman, is reported to have approached the girl and held her hand against her will. Frightened, the girl managed to free herself and ran into the library, with the accused continuing to follow her. Hearing the girl's cries for help, the library operator intervened and forced the accused to leave the premises.

The girl's father has since filed a complaint with the authorities, leading to the arrest of the accused. Kheri circle officer Vivek Kumar stated that Shahdab has been sent to jail as of Wednesday. Interestingly, the accused's family members have claimed that he was suffering from some form of mental health issues, providing medical documents to support their claims.
