The three arrested suspects were identified as Ram Babu, Vijay Kumar, and Akshay Kumar, all residents of the Ganpati Colony area near Jaspal Bangar.
According to the victim's brother, Rupinder Singh, he and Gurvinder were attacked on Thursday near Jaspal Bangar village by a group of approximately 20 people who suspected the brothers were snatchers. Following the confrontation, the accused allegedly pushed Gurvinder into the canal. Rupinder immediately raised an alarm, attracting a crowd that subsequently thrashed the attackers. Some of the alleged assailants were apprehended by the public and handed over to the police, with one attacker, identified as Naresh, also suffering injuries during the scuffle.
