On October 1, 2025, police in Noida, India foiled an attempted attack on a local medical store operator. According to the authorities, two men hired to carry out the assault were injured in a shootout with police near the Shahpur Road underpass on the Peripheral Expressway.
The injured suspects, identified as Raj Kumar and Sajid, were part of a group of five accused individuals. Police say the duo, along with three others, had been hired by a man named Vinod to attack the medical store operator in Dadri for a promised sum of ₹50,000.
During the incident, a patrol team signaled the two men on a motorcycle to stop for checking. When they tried to flee, the suspects opened fire on the police, leading to a retaliatory response that left Raj Kumar and Sajid injured. The three other accused - Ejaz, Kunal, and Vinod - were later arrested from Dadri town.

Authorities have registered a case against the five individuals under relevant sections of the law. The Dadri police team that cracked the case has been awarded a ₹25,000 reward by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Greater Noida).
