In Ahmedabad, a 41-year-old tea vendor is recovering after being shot outside his stall in Fatehwadi. The incident, which occurred in the early hours of Friday, has led to an attempt to murder case being filed by Vejalpur police against three suspects. The vendor, Mudassar Pathan, is currently receiving treatment at Sola Civil Hospital for a bullet wound to his right foot.
The altercation reportedly began several days prior when the main accused, identified as Arbaaz, and two associates were asked to leave the vicinity of Pathan's tea stall. This led to a heated argument and threats. On Friday, the trio allegedly returned armed with a pistol-like weapon and knives. They reportedly confronted Pathan, inquiring about a neighbor and threatening to kill them both before Arbaaz allegedly fired the shot.
Pathan attempted to evade the gunfire but was hit in the foot, with a second shot reportedly fired at the tea stall. The accused fled as locals gathered. Doctors at Sola Civil Hospital have recommended surgery for the injury, and Pathan's condition is reported as stable.
