In Yerawada, Pune, a dispute escalated into an acid-like liquid attack on Friday afternoon, leaving four individuals injured. The assailant, identified as Nitin Jadhav, 52, allegedly threw a toilet cleaning liquid at his friend and the friend's mother. The incident stemmed from ongoing teasing by the friend towards Jadhav.
During the confrontation outside their home, Jadhav reportedly abused the woman and attempted to attack her son. The liquid splashed onto them, causing burns to their hands and faces. A passerby on a two-wheeler and his daughter were also incidentally injured by the liquid. All four victims received treatment at Sassoon General Hospital, with three later being discharged. Police have arrested Jadhav, who is a daily-wage worker.
