Summary
- Three puppies were discovered abandoned in a wet cardboard box on a canal towpath.
- Two of the three rescued puppies sadly died, but one is now responding to treatment.
- The surviving puppy, Comet, is being treated for severe worms and needs constant care.

Three vulnerable dachshund puppies were discovered abandoned in a rain-soaked cardboard box on a canal towpath in Wolverhampton. A passerby found the tiny animals and immediately contacted veterinary professionals.
Tragically, one puppy had already died by the time of discovery. The two surviving puppies were taken in by Ravens Rescue UK, but sadly, a second puppy, nicknamed Vixen, also succumbed to her condition. The remaining puppy, Comet, is showing signs of recovery but is severely infested with worms.
Comet is receiving intensive round-the-clock care, including frequent feeding. The rescue organization expressed gratitude to the person who found the puppies and is appealing to the public for any information regarding the abandonment. They hope Comet will recover and become a Christmas miracle, while emphasizing the severity of the abuse and the need to identify those responsible.
