Four people were injured in a shooting that occurred during a party on Jacksonville's East Side. The incident happened early Sunday morning after midnight. Police reported that between 12 to 15 shots were fired. The victims included two women, aged 34 and 39, and two men, aged 37 and 43.
The 34-year-old woman was transported to a hospital from the scene, while the other three victims sought their own medical attention. Evidence at the scene included liquor bottles and scattered trash at the intersection of A. Philip Randolph Boulevard and Jessie Street. Community members indicated the gathering was a tribute to the late Jacksonville rapper Lil Poppa.
