Northern Ireland's Hidden Violence: 30 Women Lost

Northern Ireland has tragically recorded the violent deaths of 30 women since 2020. The majority of these women were mothers and daughters, leaving behind grieving families. A significant aspect of these cases is that, in at least 21 instances, the perpetrator was known to the victim, often a partner, ex-partner, or family member.

Many of these attacks occurred within the perceived safety of the victims' homes, underscoring the vulnerability faced by women in intimate relationships. The ages of the victims ranged widely, from their 20s to their 80s, with some being pregnant at the time of their deaths. These incidents have resulted in profound and enduring trauma for the families and communities affected.
