3 Arrested for Assaulting Dhaba Staff in Faridabad Clash

On October 23, 2025, three individuals were arrested in connection with an assault on staffers at a dhaba (roadside eatery) in Faridabad, India. The incident occurred around the Diwali festival, when a group of around 15 people arrived at the dhaba in two cars and assaulted the staff.
According to the police, the attack was triggered when the dhaba employees refused to bring a QR code to the customers' car for online payment. The accused, identified as Manish (34), Anand alias Sunny (31), and Gunjesh (19), all residents of Faridabad's Jeevan Nagar area, were arrested on Thursday.
Manish, who runs a metal parts workshop, and Gunjesh have been sent to jail, while Sunny, who is in the milk business, has been granted bail by a court. The police have seized the sticks used in the crime and the vehicle involved in the incident.
The dhaba owner, Dheeraj Bhatiya, had filed a complaint at the Kotwali police station, alleging that the group had assaulted the staffers and vandalized the dhaba. The police are continuing their investigation into the matter and have assured that strict action will be taken against those responsible for the violent incident.
