Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar police have successfully recovered 28 stolen motorcycles, with a total value of Rs 11.2 lakh. Four individuals have been arrested in connection with the thefts. The accused are alleged to have been stealing two-wheelers from different parts of the city.
Intelligence gathering led to the breakthrough, uncovering a network that transported stolen motorcycles from urban areas to rural parts of the district for sale. Police have detained Yogesh Gadekar, Kartik Pawar, Saurabh Waghchaure, and Rahul Borse.
Further investigations are ongoing to identify more recipients and recover additional stolen vehicles. Authorities have warned that those knowingly purchasing or possessing stolen motorcycles will also face criminal charges.
