In a harrowing incident on Monday, November 17, a gang of armed bandits attacked the Government Girls Comprehensive Secondary School in Maga, Kebbi state, Nigeria. The attackers, equipped with sophisticated weapons, stormed the school and abducted 25 students from their hostel.
Tragically, the vice principal, Malam Hassan Makaku, was killed while attempting to block the perpetrators' entry into the school. Another staff member sustained an injured hand during the raid. Police units engaged the bandits in a gun duel, but the students were taken to an undisclosed location.
