The scheme escalated with demands for further payments, including cash and foreign currency, totaling significant sums. The family undertook multiple trips to Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur as part of the fraudulent process. During these trips, their passports were allegedly confiscated in Kuala Lumpur, leading to additional payments for their retrieval.
Ultimately, the accused provided the family with what appeared to be fake Australian visitor visas and air tickets. The family has filed a complaint with Anandnagar police, detailing the extensive deception and financial loss they suffered. The investigation into the fraudulent visa consultancy is ongoing.
