In 2001, Suzanne Sites-Fenton vanished from the Victor Valley Mall parking lot. Her body was discovered in Hesperia, California, on April 16, 2001, nearly two decades after she was last seen by coworkers. The initial investigation revealed signs of a struggle in her vehicle, and it was later determined she had been kidnapped, sexually assaulted, and shot.
After a prolonged investigation, cold case detectives made a breakthrough in 2025, identifying Raymond Silva Gonzales as a suspect. An arrest warrant was issued, and Gonzales was apprehended on January 15, 2026, with the assistance of SWAT. He was subsequently booked into High Desert Detention Center.
