Wisconsin Farm Robbed: 800-Pound Steers Vanish

Twenty large steers, each weighing approximately 800 pounds, have been stolen from a farm located west of Wausau in central Wisconsin. The theft occurred on the farm situated on Highway 97 between Highway N and Blueberry Road. The incident took place sometime between 8 p.m. on July 7, 2026, and the morning of July 8, 2026. The stolen animals are identified as Holstein and Holstein-Angus cross steers and are distinguished by white ear tags bearing numbers from 100 to 300.

The Marathon County Sheriff's Office is treating the case as a significant threat and has an ongoing investigation into the matter. This type of large-scale cattle rustling is considered rare, even within Wisconsin, a state known for its dairy industry. Premier Livestock & Auctions LLC, the company associated with the farm, has requested public assistance. They urge individuals who may have observed any unusual activity on Highway 97 or adjacent roads during the nights of July 7th or July 8th, 2026, to contact them or local law enforcement.
