Two men have been sentenced to 20 years in prison following a violent incident at the Osage Casino Hotel in April 2025. Malik Nakai Sampson, 19, and Marquaveon Da'Shawn Goff, 19, both waived their right to a trial and entered guilty pleas to charges related to a fight that escalated to a shooting.
The altercation reportedly began as a result of a prior conflict. During the incident, one individual was assaulted, and another sustained an accidental gunshot wound. Sheriff Bart Perrier commended the collaboration between the Osage County Sheriff's Office and the Osage Nation Police Department for their efforts in ensuring accountability for violent criminal acts.
Sampson was initially booked on charges of shooting with intent to kill and assault and battery with a deadly weapon. Goff, who was 18 at the time, faced charges of domestic assault and battery with a deadly weapon, later amended to assault and battery with a deadly weapon. Both men were ordered to pay court costs, incarceration expenses, fines, and Victims Compensation Assessment fees.
