Two men sustained injuries Friday night during a shooting incident in Northwest Houston. The event unfolded around 10:20 p.m. on W. Tidwell Road. As the two men walked down the street enjoying ice cream, a vehicle carrying four individuals drove alongside them.
At least one occupant of the vehicle then opened fire on the victims. One man was struck in the stomach, while the other sustained an arm injury. Both were subsequently transported to a local hospital and reported to be in stable condition.
Houston Police Department officers, who were patrolling the area, managed to detain one suspect nearby. This individual has provided information regarding the vehicle and the other occupants, leading to an ongoing interview and search for additional suspects. Investigators believe the incident was isolated and pose no ongoing threat to the public.
