158 MPH Speedster Nabbed with Firearm

Early Wednesday, September 16, Michigan State Police apprehended a 23-year-old man driving a black BMW M5 at an extreme speed of 158 mph. The incident occurred on southbound U.S. 131 near M-6. Troopers initiated the stop after observing the vehicle's high rate of speed.
During the arrest, officers discovered a loaded firearm situated near the vehicle's center console. Consequently, the Byron Center man was charged with reckless driving and carrying a concealed weapon. He was subsequently lodged at the Kent County Jail.
