Summary
- Serentica Renewables to expand renewable capacity to 7.5 GW by 2027
- 3 GW of new projects to be from government-owned Renewable Energy Implementation Agencies
- Serentica signs 650 MW of PPAs and LoAs with major government utilities

As of September 10, 2025, Serentica Renewables, a prominent renewable energy company, is set to significantly expand its green energy portfolio. The company aims to commission an additional 6.5 GW of renewable capacity by the end of 2027, which will increase its operational capacity to 7.5 GW from the current 1 GW.
A substantial portion of this growth will come from government projects, with 3 GW of the new capacity to be sourced from government-owned Renewable Energy Implementation Agencies (REIAs). This means that government utilities will account for 40% of Serentica's total commissioned renewable energy portfolio by the end of 2027.
Furthermore, in the first five months of the current financial year, Serentica has already secured agreements for 650 MW with major government utilities under the FDRE framework. These include a 200 MW solar-wind-storage peak power project with NTPC, a 100 MW project with SECI, a 150 MW hybrid peak power project with NHPC, and a 200 MW time-block-based supply agreement with SJVN.
