Palantir Targets 10x Revenue Growth, Slashing Headcount by 12%

As of August 22nd, 2025, Palantir Technologies, the prominent AI software platforms provider, has set its sights on ambitious targets for the next decade. In an interview earlier this month, Palantir's CEO Alex Karp revealed the company's goal of increasing its revenue by 10x while reducing its headcount by 12% simultaneously.

This bold strategy comes just under five years after Palantir's public debut through a direct listing in September 2020. During this period, the company has delivered outstanding gains to investors, with a $100 investment in Palantir at the time of its IPO now worth $1,660.

Palantir's revenue growth trajectory has been equally impressive. In 2020, the company generated $1.1 billion in annual revenue. By the second quarter of 2025, Palantir's quarterly revenue had surpassed $1 billion, and the company has guided for over $4.1 billion in revenue for the full year 2025. This translates to a remarkable five-year compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 30%.

Looking ahead, Palantir's ambitious 10x revenue target by the end of the decade suggests the company is aiming to generate over $41 billion in revenue. This goal appears achievable, as Palantir is capitalizing on the rapidly growing artificial intelligence (AI) software platforms market, which is expected to reach $153 billion in revenue by 2028, according to IDC.
