On Monday, mining shares closed lower in the trading session. The Nifty50 index ended 156.1 points down at 24,680.9, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 572.07 points at 80,891.02.
Among the top gainers were Orissa Minerals Development Company Ltd. and Aro Granite Industries Ltd., which rose 0.28% and 0.08%, respectively. However, several mining companies saw significant losses, including 20 Microns Ltd. (down 10.84%), Pokarna Ltd. (down 5.92%), and Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd. (down 5.75%).
Other notable losers were Lexus Granito (India) Ltd., Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores Ltd., KIOCL Ltd., Oriental Trimex Ltd., Ashapura Minechem Ltd., Madhav Marbles & Granites Ltd., and MOIL Ltd., which fell between 1.26% and 5.01%.
