Maruti Suzuki's Fronx compact SUV has emerged as a global success story for the Indian automaker. Launched in 2023, the Fronx has quickly established itself as one of the best-selling compact SUVs in the domestic market, combining stylish design, feature-rich offerings, and multiple powertrain options.
The Fronx's success is not limited to India, as it has also become a key export product for Maruti Suzuki. In the last fiscal year (FY25), the Fronx was the highest exported passenger vehicle from India, with one in every five units produced being shipped overseas. The model has also gained popularity in international markets, including Japan, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa.
Reflecting on this milestone, Maruti Suzuki's Managing Director and CEO, Hisashi Takeuchi, praised the Fronx's strong customer acceptance and the company's commitment to delivering "exciting and value-packed products." The Fronx has set several production records, becoming the fastest model in India to reach 1 lakh sales within 10 months, and subsequently achieving the 2 lakh and 3 lakh milestones at a rapid pace. In February 2025, the Fronx registered its highest-ever monthly sales, further solidifying its position as a market leader.
