- Arizona collector finds 1 BTC redemption card in Cardsmith's Currency trading cards
- Current Bitcoin price is around $115,000
- Odds of pulling a crypto redemption card are 1 in 192

In a surprising turn of events, an anonymous Arizona-based collector has struck gold by finding a 1 BTC redemption card hidden within a pack of Cardsmith's Currency trading cards. As of August 24th, 2025, Bitcoin is trading at just under $115,000, making the collector's discovery worth a staggering $100,000.
The collector, who has chosen to remain anonymous, expressed their initial disbelief at the find, telling the card manufacturer Cardsmiths, "I didn't think it was a serious possibility." Cardsmiths' Currency series has been offering redemption cards for top cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Dogecoin, with the 1 BTC and 1 ETH cards being the most valuable.
Despite the incredible windfall, the collector has pledged to only keep half of the Bitcoin, intending to donate the other half to charity. As the collector explained on Reddit, "I was documenting my pulls from a bunch of S4 Currency cards I had saved up, and I pledged that I would give half of the after-tax value to a charity, out of whatever crypto I found."

While Cardsmiths' Series 4 Currency cards are now sold out, the company's most recent SPACE Series continues to offer full Bitcoin redemption cards, with packs available for as little as $13.75. However, the odds of pulling a crypto card remain long, with only 1 in 192 packs expected to contain a redemption.
