- South Delhi's real estate market shows high price appreciation and limited inventory

In a high-profile real estate deal, Akhil Wable, the founder of DataforIndia, has acquired a 1,280-square yard plot in the prestigious Vasant Vihar neighborhood of South Delhi for a whopping Rs 113 crore. The plot was previously purchased by Eleannt Enterprises, a South Delhi-based real estate firm, for Rs 95 crore in January 2023, indicating a significant price appreciation in a matter of months.
The South Delhi real estate market has shown a considerable appetite for high-end properties, with limited inventory and skyrocketing prices. Transactions in Vasant Vihar are currently taking place at around Rs 9-12 lakh per square yard, reflecting the intense demand and limited supply in the area.
Experts attribute this trend to the limited availability of prime real estate in South Delhi, one of the most upscale regions in the country. With an estimated real estate potential of Rs 5.65 lakh crore, the area is home to some of the most coveted addresses, including Mayfair Garden, Panchsheel Park, and Vasant Vihar, among others.
