In a significant trade development, Xizang Shanzheng Bee Industry Technology Development Co Ltd has successfully exported bee products from Southwest China's Xizang autonomous region for the first time. Two batches, totaling 3,030 kilograms of honey valued at 1.2 million yuan, were sent to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. This achievement signifies a major breakthrough for Xizang's burgeoning apiary industry.
The company, established in 2021, strategically located its operations in Gongbo'Gyamda county, renowned for its rugged terrain and over 600 species of wild nectar-producing plants. This unique environment, characterized by snowmelt and high-altitude flora like Tibetan medicinal herbs, contributes to the distinct quality of the honey.
Beyond its export success, Shanzheng plays a vital role in local community development. Since 2022, the company has partnered with 130 households of herders and farmers, providing beekeeping training, equipment, and a reliable market for their honey. This initiative aims to transform natural resources into sustainable livelihoods for residents, fostering economic growth in the region.
