Summary
- Engineers India achieved the world's longest HDD crossing for a 26-inch pipeline.
- The record-breaking drill spanned 4,058 meters across the Brahmaputra River.
- This feat is part of the crucial Paradip-Numaligarh Crude Oil Pipeline project.

State-run Engineers India (EIL) has achieved a significant engineering milestone, completing the world's longest Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) crossing for a 26-inch pipeline. This record-breaking feat, spanning 4,058 meters, was accomplished during the Brahmaputra River crossing for the Paradip-Numaligarh Crude Oil Pipeline (PNCPL) project.
This accomplishment surpasses EIL's previous record and highlights its exceptional capability in executing complex projects in challenging terrains. The 1,635 km PNCPL is a strategic energy corridor designed to transport imported crude oil from Paradip Port to Assam, passing through multiple states.
