Weaver Services has secured Rs 1,450 crore ($156 million) through a two-tranche funding round. This significant capital infusion is earmarked for acquiring a 75.01% controlling stake in Centrum Housing Finance (CHFL), subject to necessary approvals.
Premji Invest and Lightspeed Venture Partners were key co-leads in the latest funding tranche, with Gaja Capital and other financial professionals also participating. This follows a prior $170 million round also backed by these investors.
Weaver has also agreed to acquire the remaining 24.99% stake in CHFL from Morgan Stanley. Upon completion, CHFL will merge with People Home Finance, acquired in August 2025.
The consolidated entity will manage over Rs 2,000 crore in assets and operate 140 branches nationwide, focusing on home loans and expanding credit access for women.
