ReelShort Lands in Indonesia via Vidio Deal

Vidio, Indonesia's leading streaming service, has announced a significant partnership with ReelShort, a popular microdrama platform owned by Crazy Maple Studio. This collaboration marks ReelShort's official entry into the Indonesian market, with hundreds of its titles set to become available on Vidio beginning September 1.

The newly introduced "Short Drama" tab on Vidio will feature ReelShort's content, spanning genres such as fantasy, family drama, and romance. These microdramas, presented in episodes lasting 60-90 seconds, will include over 200 titles with Indonesian dubbing and others with subtitles. This partnership is a strategic move for ReelShort, extending its Southeast Asian presence after similar ventures in Thailand and the Philippines.

Beyond content distribution, the agreement involves co-production of new series between ReelShort and Indonesian production houses, which will be accessible on both platforms. This initiative also includes a skills exchange, offering local creative talent exposure to ReelShort's established production pipeline. Vidio, which boasts 5.8 million paying subscribers in Southeast Asia as of the second quarter of 2026, aims to further solidify its dominant position in Indonesia's competitive streaming landscape.
