In a major leadership change, Paramount Pictures has brought on veteran marketer Josh Goldstine as the studio's new President of Global Marketing and Distribution. Goldstine, who previously held top marketing roles at Warner Bros. and Universal, officially joined the Paramount Melrose Ave lot on October 15, 2025.
Goldstine's appointment comes as Paramount's current marketing and distribution bosses, Marc Weinstock and Chris Aronson, are departing the studio. During their six-year tenure, Weinstock and Aronson delivered several major successes for Paramount, including the record-breaking Top Gun: Maverick and the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise.
Now, Goldstine will be tasked with helping Paramount increase its annual theatrical output to 20 movies per year, a significant boost from the studio's current slate. Paramount Co-Chairs Dana Goldberg and Josh Greenstein expressed confidence in Goldstine's ability to lead this charge, citing his track record of driving blockbuster campaigns for franchises and original films alike.
At Warner Bros., Goldstine oversaw the record-breaking marketing for Barbie, which became the studio's highest-grossing film ever at $1.44 billion globally. Prior to that, he led successful marketing efforts for Universal's major franchises like Fast & Furious, Jurassic World, and Despicable Me.
