The funding round was led by Anduril Industries founder Palmer Luckey, Lockheed Martin Corp., and Palantir Technology Inc.'s Shyam Sankar.
Valar Atomics, which is based in Hawthorne, California, has ambitious plans to build thousands of advanced nuclear fission reactors within the next decade. The company began construction on its first reactor in September 2025 in Utah and is on track to demonstrate the ability to produce 100 kilowatts of thermal energy by July 4, 2025.
