The Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) has unveiled ambitious plans for new infrastructure development in the upcoming year. A key focus is on sports and recreation, with proposals for four new sports complexes and four additional swimming pools, alongside a dedicated diving pool. These projects are currently in the conceptualization phase.
Beyond sports facilities, the VMC is also prioritizing community enrichment. Plans include establishing new libraries in each ward to ensure equitable access to educational resources. The civic body is also exploring the development of two new auditoriums, which will complement existing facilities, and the redevelopment of Gandhi Nagargruh.
Further enhancing public spaces, the VMC's agenda includes the construction of new community halls, the expansion of green areas with new gardens, and the establishment of yoga centers. These comprehensive development initiatives reflect a commitment to improving the quality of life for Vadodara's citizens.
